The 2020 Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône Réserve is Emmanuel Reynaud's classic southern Rhône red, a Grenache-led blend made the same way Reynaud makes everything: low yields from old vines, native-yeast fermentation, long élevage in old wooden foudres, no fining or filtration. The Réserve sits at the heart of the range, sharing winemaking DNA and sometimes parcels of fruit with the legendary Rayas. The 2020 vintage in the southern Rhône was warm and concentrated, producing wines of deep ripeness balanced by Reynaud's characteristic restraint. Expect dark cherry, garrigue, crushed stone, dried lavender and the silken texture that defines Reynaud's reds. A wine that drinks beautifully on release but rewards another decade of cellaring.
