Born in Staufen im Breisgau, Germany, Bastian Wolber's journey into winemaking was influenced by his brother's experiences in Burgundy and his own exposure to natural wines. After working harvests in renowned wineries across Europe, including Domaine Leflaive and Jean-Marc Dreyer, Bastian launched his own project, Laisse Tomber, in 2019. The name, meaning "let it go" in French, reflects his philosophy of embracing life's unpredictability. He focuses on organic and biodynamic viticulture, crafting wines with minimal intervention to authentically express their terroir. Bastian is committed to farming his own grapes and has acquired parcels in both the Côte Chalonnaise and Baden regions.
