Clos Rougeard's Brézé is a benchmark for dry Loire Chenin, and the 2009 vintage comes from organically farmed vines rooted in chalky tuffeau. The Foucault family nursed this wine through long, slow fermentations and two winters in barrel, bottling without filtration to preserve every nuance.
The nose layers lime blossom, quince, honeycomb and crushed oyster shell. On the palate, yellow plum and salted caramel meet a driving mineral line that keeps the wine focused for minutes after each sip.
