Richard Leroy's 2015 Les Noels de Montbenault is a reference-point dry Chenin Blanc grown on volcanic schist above Rablay-sur-Layon. Old vines farmed biodynamically give the wine its depth, while a long, native-yeast fermentation brings precision and clarity to every glass.
The palate layers preserved lemon, quince, honeycomb and chalk dust, with a subtle hint of smoke that speaks to the windswept plateau. It is simultaneously concentrated and tensile, holding its shape with effortless poise.
