Founded in 2004 in the heart of the Northern Rhône, Cave Cluzel is a family-run estate based in Chavanay, with vineyards extending across the prestigious crus of Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph, and Condrieu, as well as IGP Collines Rhodaniennes.
Brothers Vincent and Alexandre Cluzel work side-by-side, crafting wines that reflect the dramatic diversity of their terroirs, from steep terraced slopes with ancient stone walls (“chaillées”) to Rhône river plains and sunlit plateaus. With a commitment to sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention, all grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentations are carried out using indigenous yeasts.
Their state-of-the-art winery, built in 2012, houses thermoregulated tanks and a traditional barrel cellar. Reds are aged in Burgundian pièces (228L) for 6-18 months depending on the cuvée, while whites rest in demi-muids (450-500L) to preserve nuance and freshness.
Cave Cluzel wines embody the precision, elegance, and sense of place that have made the northern Rhône one of France’s most revered wine regions.
