Founded in 2016 by Camille Thiriet and winemaker Matt Chittick, Domaine Camille Thiriet began as a micro-négoce operation in a modest garage behind Camille's parents' bed and breakfast in Comblanchien, Côte de Nuits. Starting with just 2,000 bottles in their inaugural vintage, the duo focused on crafting artisanal Burgundies that reflect the purity and personality of their terroirs. Their approach emphasizes minimal intervention, indigenous yeast fermentations, and meticulous attention to detail in both vineyard and cellar practices.
In 2022, Camille and Matt expanded their venture by acquiring a 4.5-hectare domaine in Corgoloin, bringing their total vineyard holdings to six hectares. This acquisition allowed them to transition from a micro-négoce to a full-fledged domaine, with a particular focus on championing the Côte de Nuits Villages appellation. Their vineyards are farmed organically, and they employ traditional winemaking techniques, including the use of a small wooden basket press and natural fermentations, to produce wines that are both expressive and elegant
About the Producer
Camille Thiriet is a young Burgundy producer crafting elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir from organic vineyards with minimal intervention in the cellar. Working single lieu-dit parcels across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, including the Chagniots and En La Place sites, she produces delicate, translucent Bourgogne Rouge of remarkable precision and freshness: bright red fruit, fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a mineral clarity that speaks clearly of Burgundy without any intervention to obscure it. Indigenous yeasts, no additions, no fining or filtration. A rising talent in the new generation of honest Burgundy growers whose wines offer genuine terroir expression at accessible prices.
