Charles Dufour is a visionary grower-Champagne producer based in Landreville in the Côte des Bar, the southern tip of the Champagne region where Pinot Noir reigns on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Working with his signature "Ballades" series, Dufour applies low-intervention, artisan winemaking principles to produce small-batch Champagnes that are raw, expressive, and deeply terroir-driven, a world apart from the blended style of the great Maisons. His wines ferment with native yeasts, age on their lees, and are disgorged with minimal dosage, capturing the living character of the Aube's unique terroir.
