About the Producer
Julien Crinquand is a young vigneron from Les Arsures who returned to his family's five-hectare estate in the Arbois appellation after an unexpected career change, guided by mentors Fabrice Dodane and Philippe Bornard, two of the Jura's natural wine luminaries. Bottling his wines under the name "Les Canons du Jean" in tribute to his grandfather Jean (whose likeness adorns each label), Julien farms organically across parcels in Bodines, Mailloche, and Verleule, growing the classic Jura range of Savagnin, Chardonnay, Trousseau, Poulsard, and Pinot Noir. His approach is precise and minimalist, indigenous yeasts, no additions, extended aging in tank and barrel, producing small-batch whites and reds of rare finesse, crystalline purity, and authentic Jura character. An exciting rising voice in one of France's most thrilling wine regions.
