The 2020 Bourgogne Chardonnay from Domaine de Montille is sourced from two plots near Puligny-Montrachet, benefiting from the same meticulous vineyard care and cellar attention as the estate’s Premiers and Grands Crus. This wine serves as an introduction to the domaine’s philosophy: purity, authenticity, and elegance.

After a light settling, the must undergoes fermentation in 228L and 600L barrels, with 5 to 20% new oak, primarily from Allier with light toasting. A year later, the wines are racked and transferred to stainless steel vats for additional aging to preserve freshness and minerality. The result is a crisp, flinty Chardonnay with notes of citrus and jasmine flowers, complemented by a zesty bitterness on the finish.

Domaine de Montille is one of Burgundy’s most historic and respected estates, known for producing elegant and age-worthy wines with a deep commitment to terroir.
