Founded by Seiichi Saito, a Japanese winemaker with a background at legendary Burgundy estates like Mugnier, Rousseau, and Leflaive, Domaine Petit Roy is a micro-négoce crafting minimal-intervention wines that reflect both terroir and precision. After moving to Burgundy in 2008, Seiichi launched Petit Roy in 2017, working 2.1 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards alongside purchased fruit from trusted growers.
His winemaking philosophy centers on whole-cluster fermentations for reds, minimal extraction, and low sulfur usage, resulting in bright, energetic wines with pure fruit expression. Petit Roy wines combine classic Burgundian finesse with a modern, low-intervention approach, making them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
