Domaine Michel Rebourgeon – A Family Legacy in Pommard
Tracing roots back to 1540, Domaine Michel Rebourgeon is a historic Burgundy estate spanning 4.25 hectares across Beaune, Pommard, and Volnay. Since 1995, the current generation has maintained a strong family tradition emphasizing natural vineyard care, organic practices, and artisanal winemaking.
Hand-harvested grapes undergo meticulous double sorting and full destemming before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. The wine macerates for three weeks with gentle daily punchdowns and pump-overs to extract refined tannins and fresh red fruit aromas. Aging lasts 18 months in new French oak barrels before final blending and bottling.
The vineyard management is respectful of nature, using no chemical weedkillers for over six years and favoring manual green picking and ploughing between rows.
