Si Tu Sais is one of Burgundy’s most exciting micro-négoce projects, founded by Patrick Johnston and Sara Cunningham. What started as a one-time harvest at Maison Harbour in 2017 quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit of making exceptional, terroir-driven wines. By 2020, they were producing wine in tiny quantities—just 4.5 barrels. A tough 2021 meant only 2 barrels, but by 2022, they expanded production to 17 barrels and have since settled at around 25 barrels a year.
Located in the picturesque village of Chamilly, Patrick and Sara work hand in hand with growers who practice biodynamic and chemical-free viticulture. Their wines are all about purity, freshness, and balance, inspired by winemakers like Vincent Dancer. They embrace a modern Burgundy style—low intervention but clean and precise. Low-temperature fermentations preserve aromatics, aging in mostly old barrels deepens texture, and whole-cluster use is carefully managed to add structure without greenness.
The name Si Tu Sais is a nod to the intimate nature of Burgundy’s winemaking community—“if you know, you know.” With microscopic production (never more than 1,000 bottles per cuvée), these wines are highly sought after. They focus on quality over quantity, handpicking fruit from top vineyard sites to craft wines with energy, depth, and tension. With just a few harvests under their belt, they have already made a name for themselves, and the wines are quickly becoming allocation-only.
About the Producer
Si Tu Sais, "If You Know, You Know", is a rising natural Burgundy producer crafting meticulous, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention across the Côte de Nuits and Côte Chalonnaise. The range covers Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Pernand-Vergelesses, Rully, and Bourgogne Aligoté, each lieux-dit bottled separately to let the terroir speak for itself. Indigenous yeast fermentation, no fining or filtration, and a zero-interference philosophy in the cellar produce wines of striking purity and precision. For those in the know, Si Tu Sais is one of the most exciting small-producer Burgundy projects to emerge in recent years.
