2023 Etna Bianco from Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a harmonious blend of indigenous Sicilian grape varieties, predominantly Carricante, complemented by Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, and Minnella. Sourced from old vines aged between 5 and 100 years, situated on the northern and eastern slopes of Mount Etna at elevations ranging from 600 to 900 meters above sea level, this wine embodies the unique volcanic terroir of the region. In the glass, it presents a pale yellow hue. The nose is floral, reminiscent of linden blooms. On the palate, it is fresh and salty, with a mineral essence. The wine's vibrant acidity and mineral undertones reflect the volcanic soils from which it originates.

Established over forty years ago, Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a distinguished winery located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The estate spans approximately 45 hectares, divided into 30 plots across nine contrade (crus), with vineyards situated at elevations between 600 and 1,000 meters above sea level. The soils vary significantly from one cru to another, contributing to the unique characteristics of each wine produced. With the exception of about 7 recently planted hectares, the vineyards are between 50 and 100 years old, with less than one hectare exceeding 140 years, surviving the phylloxera epidemic and remaining ungrafted.

The winery's philosophy emphasizes meticulous vineyard management to achieve optimal ripeness, allowing for minimal intervention in the cellar. This approach aims to express the true character of the grape varieties and their specific terroirs.
