About the Producer
Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is simply one of the greatest producers of Chablis in existence, a small, obsessively quality-focused grower estate that has set the benchmark for Premier and Grand Cru Chablis for decades. Vincent and his son Sébastien farm a little over 12 hectares on the prized Kimmeridgian limestone terroirs of Chablis, working organically and with great humility to produce whites of extraordinary minerality, tension, and longevity. Fermented and aged in old Burgundian barrels (a distinctive and celebrated choice in otherwise stainless-dominated Chablis), the wines develop a depth and complexity that few producers anywhere in the world can match. Dauvissat's productions are strictly limited, allocated to a small circle of importers and restaurants, and among the most collectible white Burgundies on earth.
