About Domaine de la Cras and Marc Soyard
Marc Soyard spent six years as chef de culture at Domaine Bizot in Vosne-Romanée before being chosen by the city of Dijon in 2013 to take over Domaine de la Cras. The estate is owned by the city; Soyard pays his rent in bottles. He farms 8 hectares organically with biodynamic practices and is the only producer in the world allowed to use the historic Coteaux de Dijon appellation. Allocations are tiny and rarely leave France.
