About the Producer
Giuseppe Rinaldi is among Barolo's most beloved and uncompromising traditional estates, producing wines of mythic status from Cannubi, Brunate, and Ravera vineyards in the village of Barolo itself. Beppe Rinaldi, who passed the estate to his daughters Marta and Carlotta in 2009 before his death in 2018, was a legendary character: a fierce defender of traditional, long-macerated Barolo aged in large Slavonian casks without any concession to modern extraction or new oak. Today under Marta Rinaldi's stewardship, the estate maintains exactly that ethos: artisan, estate-bottled, minimal-intervention Nebbiolo of breathtaking complexity, tannin, and longevity. These are small-batch wines produced in tiny quantities and sought after by the world's most serious Barolo collectors.
