San Sou Si — "Without Worries" — is Icy Liu's cru Beaujolais bottling. 100% Gamay from Les Fonds, a densely planted (10,000 vines/hectare) south-facing, pink granite single plot in Fleurie. Vines planted between 1950-1980. Whole-cluster fermented, aged 8-10 months in used barrel. No fining, no filtration, touch of sulfur at bottling. Only 594 bottles produced.
Tasting: Deeper and more structured than Apinost — dark cherry, crushed stone, and spice aromatics. The pink granite terroir brings a beautiful mineral tension and silky texture. A serious Fleurie with the soul of great Burgundy.
